when i was shopping for campers my irrational fear was that it would fall off of the truck while driving - and that does happen on occasion when the tiedowns fail - so i went all out and got top of the line tiedowns.
pretty much after the 1st or 2nd trip my irrational fear shifted to being tipped over while driving in the wind. its a freaky feeling
also afraid that the camper will tip forward while i'm sleeping and have it and the truck separated

As long as your tie downs and mounts are good, you shouldn't wake up on your hood. We see some sketchy stuff that'll boggle your mind. I think you'll be fine.
If you don't have air bags, look into those.

You should feel more confident with some upgrades.

    Good Morning :hattip:

Had a productive weekend. Saturday i replaced stair stringer hangers on front deck. Repaired a hole in the kitchen ceiling because of a light that was relocated. Yesterday I picked some apples and made applesauce. I put some venison in the Slow Cooker before I went to bed. I got a request for my venison egg rolls.

Hope you had a great birthday
