...don't get me wrong, cast iron is great but I'd much rather have a open grilled steak than a pan fried steak any day. And the clean up. I'd rather have a small bag of trash to throw away than do dishes.

Good morning folks. 39* today headed to 63. My buddy's Mom and Dad surprised me by showing up at the campground. Best surprise in a while.
I helped them with their racecar several years ago and discovered some wonderful people.
    Good day yesterday.

They needed some help with the cage work so I did the fab work and let them weld it together.

I totally get it. To each their own ride. I turn off a lot of the nannies. 160 hp and the front wheel lifting off is still too addictive to my brain that thinks its 20 years younger! But yes there are days I just want a simpler, calmer bike. Thats what the Husky is for. It'll go 70 but....
Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down! Ride fast and take chances!

Good morning everyone. I was all set to work on the deck until I woke up to rain. Tomorrow is forecasted to be a dry(er) day, so I took the firewood truck down to 84 Lumber to get supplies. while at a stop light, the damn clutch pedal quickly crept down to the floor, stalling the truck. It took a few pumps to get a pedal back, then it was sketchy finishing the trip to the lumber yard then back home. EVERYTHING was brand new a few months ago, brand name stuff. I checked the fluid and it was black.. I doubt that the exhaust heat is cooking the fluid, the hard lines aren't very close to anything.. Another problem for another day.

That is very similar to the veggie pouches that I make on the grill and woodstove. A bunch of raw veggies lightly coated in EVOO and a light seasoning, wrapped up like a burrito in thick foil. It takes about 45 minutes for everything to cook.

Grab one of these from a hardware store or a box store for $20. It will solve your problem of not wanting to use the nasty rebar grate at the camp site ( I don't blame you one bit!)

wife was cold today & wanted first fire of the season.... it was 40 & she freezes when shes not burning up. so built her a fire for while she was cooking. (our fireplace is in the dining room which is the center of the house & she can see it while she cooks.)

made her happy for a few minutes so fire it is.

Our weather man was on about 20 minutes ago and said no rain until Thursday. I then walk outside a few minutes later and I swear I felt a cold rain just spitting a little. Not much but still, precipitation.
