Definitely done here. But I got more trips than I thought I would. Weather hung on for a long time this year

For being 30 this morning, it ended up being a really nice day.

While I don't camp anymore... It is winterizing time here for lots of my stuff now.

Time to refill all my diesel & gas storage, treat it, do the last bush hogging of the trails & so on.
Still to early for the mower, use tractor & excavator all year round.

Lol! We use the US military Extreme Cold Weather Sleeping System. It’s the best cold weather sleeping bag for the money anywhere. You used to be able to get used surplus ones for under $100. I “surplused”mine from the USMC and bought one for my wife. They are rated to -30. I’ve never gotten down that cold before, but I’ve been out many times in the 0/-10 range and been completely comfortable… until you have to pee.

I've got to run a couple errands in town after work tomorrow and then I plan on staying home as long as possible. The first few storms and everyone needs to relearn how to winter drive so I try to not go anywhere unless I absolutely have to...don't want to be out there playing bumper cars with the morons!

Good evening, gang! 1st frost of the season on the windshield this morning, heater turned 1/2 into the 'hot' zone. ugghhhhhh... 2 months-ish 'till the winter solstice, then another 3 months before we see any additional light.. I need happier thoughts! Nice selfie of Weeza enjoying her last outing of the year, glad that you had fun!

I never got one of those, we still had the green puffy mummy bags. I still have one, decent for what it is, but it gets cramped really quickly when trying to roll onto one side.

Long weekend, although it goes by way too quickly. A newly hired narcissist kid got canned on Friday after he made an announcement on Thursday that he had his cop buddy run background checks on everyone because he wanted to know "what kind of losers he was being forced to work with"

The house tiger went from asking to be picked up/ wanting affection to wanting another pint of blood in about .000035 of a second.. baby psycho!

After I got him off of me, we decided that maybe he is just bored so I put together a new toy for him. It seemed to help for about an hour then when he realized that he couldn't get the ball out, he swatted at it and walked away.

I was in when they were adopted. Totally life changing for me! They were as low as $60 used at one point. I see the price has gone up! IMG_0063.jpg

We had these beasts.. wrap yourself up in the poncho liner then slip into the mummy bag and zip it up, no way you were going to get cold.

I got issued a brand new one at Ft Hood CIF in 1988, I still have it and have never been cold enough to zip it up.
