    Good Monday to all.

Our poor doggo had an encounter with Pepe LePew last night when I took him out for his evening business before bed. He ran back in the house before I could stop him (and before I even knew what had happened - I never saw the skunk, only caught wind of the smell as Huck ran past me), and the entire house was filled with the aroma. My wife and I bathed him last night, but it was still pretty bad. This morning my wife googled suggestions and found the following recommendations:

    1) Put bowls of vinegar in every room that stinks, and if possible, boil vinegar and the steam will take away the stench (and yes it did!!)
    2) Make a mixture of 1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, and a couple teaspoons of Dawn or other dish detergent. Bath affected animal with this. This also worked like a charm!!

2023 is just not been my damn year..... between my wife's myriad of medical nigthmares, losing my job last month, and now this :bananadead::rofl:

Thank you. Been one of those years, I guess.

However, on a positive note, every time I think I'm getting the shit end of the stick, I remind myself of the Brad Paisley song 'One of Those Lives' on his "This is Country Music" album, and I realize I am far from being as bad off as many people are.

@MTgirl it belongs to my little brother now, but there are those 2 places he has somewhere in MT. I could look it up, he's about to head out there after he had to get rid of some tenants.

we got a few acres.... could clear ya a spot in the woods. not sure how you like heavy dark woods out in BFE though.

white vinegar in a bowl works good in a room/car thats closed up. it will get teh smell out of AIR. but if its on the floors from his feet? you are gonna have to clean that.

now about the dog: real easy way is tomato juice bath. you dont need name brand & you dont need a tub full. put him in the tub, pour it over him & work it like its shampoo.

have no clue why this works, but they used it on us as kids & we have always used it on our kids & animals when they get "skunked".
