My license to comment on anybody doing anything stupid has been suspended I’m not sure if it’s permanent or just a lengthy suspension.

I can confirm this from previous experience. I lost my first home to foreclosure in 2014. I put it on the market in late 2013, received several offers, but they were all short sales and the bank rewfused to accept them, even though they wee all within <$10K of what I owed. They finally put it on the auction block 13 months after I had moved and listed it for sale.

Problem is this time, I also have my wife's car payment, and our travel trailer payment. I couldn't care less about the trailer - we never use it and would gladly sell it, but it's book value is probably about 1/2 of what we owe, so likely it would never sell. I called that lended last month, and initially they said they do have a deferral program in place, and gave me 3 months until next payment is due. Then a few days later, I got a call back saying their management had declined my request unless I could prove I would have income for those next 3 months. I was like "o_OSeriously? I told you I lost my job. I applied for a payment deferral precisely because I have no income." The only reason I care if they come and repossess the thing is what that would so to my credit, and in case we end up losing the house, we would of course want to buy another someday, and I would not want a repossession killing my credit score. I still haven't recovered (credit score wise) from my bankruptcy in 2012. If it wasn't for my wife's score being a little better than mine, we would not have gotten the mortgage we have now.

Thankfully, my wife's parents are only 15 miles away, and they have already told us we can move in with them if we end up losing our house, until we could get another place (rental or buy).

I know we'll make it through this BS once again, but it's so damn emotionally draining thinking I have a very good college degree, I have been a working professional for 31 years, and I have essentially nothing to show for it, as I lose almost everything as soon as I manage to get a little bit ahead. :argue::rant::annoyed:

Well, re-employment obviously solves most of the problems. But you probably know you’ve got to put your financial priorities in an order. For me, the first is food, the second is power and heat, the third is my home, and the fourth is transportation. I would not pay anything beyond those four things until I was working again. If I can't cover all four of my basics, the fourth and then the third won't be paid either. Some people will switch numbers three and four as the car will get repoed faster than the home will be foreclosed on. But if it comes to it, I will sell what I can and they can repo the rest if they want to. I will work on fixing the aftermath later on another day. For you hopefully, these lenders don't have their heads too far up their A holes as to not see reason. It sounds like the last one would have cut off their own nose despite their face. :annoyed: I felt much the way you do after my divorce. It sucked, but I got through it! So hang in there, the winds will blow in the right direction eventually!
