    On the bedtime dog walk it was a damp 52*, woke up this morning to a really humid 65*. Windows and French doors are all fogged over. Rain on the way today and tomorrow. It needs to start raining so my shoulder will stop aching.

    So I'm about to buy a house - will start when I'm 51yrs old. 30 year mortgage (though paying biweekly)...Feels daunting to commit to "Pay till i'm 80". No, it won't take that long, and when interest rates go down, I'll refi and that'll help...but my thought of retiring at 57 is likely not gonna happen. At least in terms of retiring and then start a dog shelter, etc. Need more income than that. (sigh). But it's a good house. good property so there's that.
