    Europe and Australia get all the cool stuff. I wanted a VW Amarok truck before getting a Taco. Had a diesel, better load capacity and 35 mpg if you drive it right.
    For the 2023 model....

    Both towing and payload have increased. Amarok will be able to tow a maximum of 7,700 pounds, very competitive for the segment. Its peak payload is 2,557 pounds, higher than the capability of many full-size light-duty pickups, and considerably higher than the current U.S. market midsize pickup king, the Toyota Tacoma — 1,685 pounds max payload.

    too many corrupt laws and restrictions on things here. i follow a couple of IG accounts that show foreign campers and the stuff that they get overseas is 1000x's better than US stuff. regularly see truck campers as well equipped as mine on Hilux and the like. Never goning to see anything like it on the US market.
    I always love to be nosy when I see foreign campers around here - mostly in Yellowstone - and strike up a conversation with them about their travels and their rigs. I'm sure you see a few of the same up there in Glacier country.
