    Good morning all.

    First snow of the season last night - about 3 flakes worth.

    I finally got a hit on a job application, I will have an initial short interview with the hiring manager tomorrow morning. Hopefully the flood gates will open and I will get several more hits, though not likely until after the first of the new year.

    I grew up as an "assistant plumber" to my dad. I worked for a local family owned plumbing business during college. Every time I drove past a house I had worked on, I would point it out to my [now] wife, or would at least think about having worked on it.

    I'm hoping the salary they are looking to pay will be in the range I need to make. In years past, very few non-government employers posted their salary ranges, but these days, I am finding about 50% seem to. This one, unfortunately, didn't mention it in the job posting. I won't ask about salary during this initial interview, but if the hiring manager asks me what I'm looking for/what I made at my last position, I will tell him/her. Otherwise I'll wait to see if we get further in the interview process.

    Good evening 50+ crew, in Florida again for dad’s 80th birthday today.:hbd: Woohoo!:drunk: Was a pretty good day, beautiful weather, left the house about noon for lunch with the kids and to do some shopping. We were gone for about 5 hours. Leaving him only enough time for a short rest before going back out for dinner with the whole family.:thumbsup: After we get home from dinner I got my butt chewed out by Mom :smack: for keeping Papa out all day because he didn’t didn’t get enough time for a proper nap. :anonymous: He was rather tired, but we had a great day! I’m not sure if I should be apologetic for keeping him out so long. :notsure:
