Been too long. Friend of mine bought a third gen and called me today about his sagging pants. So came here to see what the cool kids are doing about it. But bottom line is @Tacoma Mike has said for years. Don't be going out and doing mods like a mad man. Then again Toyota seems to not get some things right. Still. Had to replace the rear spring packs on my 2013 this summer and the 4x4 shop near me nailed it with OME Med packs and Bilstein 5100's. And that is with the Tacoma Extreme T|X edition with 6112 fronts and 5160 rears custom tuned to Toyota's specifications. Toyota still struggles with getting some things right but going over 1 3/4" or so lift is getting into dangerous territory.

Still have the Taco and it is listed on FB Marketplace at a ridiculous price. If it doesn't sell by next week going to keep it for awhile, maybe until it falls apart. Rides better than it did new now. Maybe I don't really want to sell it, after detailing it not so sure.

It is now also gracing my driveway as well as the Taco. 1" larger than stock Wildpeaks, sliders on order as well as AC Condenser skid plate. Then Sawzall time to cut all that low hanging plastic off. Same shop did this Lexus GX Off Road that lives down in town

Suspension is complex on the GX and not sure how much if anything I will change. The ride is unbelievable after 10 years with the Tacoma. But ground clearance is a challenge. If you live and drive where they pave the roads maybe not so much LOL. Taking a Sawzall to a $70K vehicle priceless....

Went to Canada this fall with the Admiral and Captain for Cast and Blast. Go North until the pavement runs out in Sunset Country. We already made reservations for next year. If you go any further North you need another form of transportation

Skipper had never been Musky fishing although has done a lot of fresh and saltwater fishing. 20 minutes into his first trip he nailed one. Guess he didn't get the memo that it is the fish of 10,000 casts to catch one. Small by Musky standards but still...

He never did play by the rules LOL. Would you trust a 2 Star Admiral (Upper Half) to drive your boat? Works for me

Fish fingers and grouse fingers for dinner, rough life

Fish were cleaned on the dock as part of the service. I cleaned the birds every day. Didn't have to but as low man on the totem pole felt it was my job. No complaints from me

Make sure you check and double check everything even outside HR Martin and congradulations! Still working here and looking at Social Security likely will until 70. Age 78 and 79 will earn more than $400 a month per month for EACH year. And when I turned 65 this summer was a bit of a shock when found out that my Tricare was dropped until I stop working for good. Was a stinger this year after June and next year will try to make it up with FSA and tax advantage. It is complex and many factors come into play make sure you evaluate ALL of them.

Great to hear from you Mike, you always have cool stuff that you do.

Springs on the Tacos have always been bad. When I bought my 11 it had 2 leafs, then the recall gave me 3. Still crappy, I upgraded to a dever 7 pack that lasted 10 years. There is another recall for the springs, I told them no.

    How's the boy doing?

Hey Andy the OP ;) Think about you from time to time and wonder about your son and how he is doing. Mine is still in remission but needs spine surgery yet, no free lunch the chemo and cancer treatment whacked him pretty hard. We had it scheduled 2 months ago but then he caught COVID and they said it was a hard no. Part of the reason I bought the GX460. Ride comfort home from post surgery for an hour and a half drive and I'm not going to lift it until he does have it. At least for the first operation on his spine. But he is still alive.

Hope all is well with you and the family and that you have finally moved to the Villa! I miss the updates. I need to check here more often...

Jesbus, the kid can't catch a break. Hope he gets better.

Mine has been seizure free and has a job at the local ACE hardware store, he finally enjoys work and is saving for a car. He is trying to get full time since he will be 26 this year and needs benefits.

Villa will be a summer thing, to avoid the heat. Rest of the year is prime Drath Valley time.

Hey Mike and yes they keep doing the same thing over and over if I do anything to the 23 I just got for the wife a while back I believe I’ll airbag. We did a trip out west in it a while back and the hitting the bump stop drives me insane. But on the bright side that’s a short trip.
