    Just heard from our son in the Middle East…he is safe. Other kids are good as well. Fireworks have started in our neighborhood. Our rescue pit mix grand puppy is a nervous wreck. Afraid it’s going to be a long night. She needs constant reassurance.

    Dogs started barking last night and I looked over at the clock as I yelled at them and it said 12:00. Must be someone nearby set off some fireworks or something along those lines. How rude. When I took the dogs out at 0500 I didn't spare the lights or any noise. Damn kids.
