I stumbled across this on FB. So true. Of course, this no longer applies to me.

 

afternoon gang.

 

We had 40° this morning and it's colder up there. We have been hitting the dew point, just not not cold enough for frost...you may want a fire

 

I go back on Thursday. Eyes are okay, it’s been a long healing process. It takes a month or so for everything to settle then I’ll know whether I have to do this again.

 

My wife is getting ready for this procedure

 

I will add her to my list of things to pray for.

 

You had cataract surgery if I remember correctly and thanks for the T+P

 

Actually I had strabismus surgery to correct the torsion (twisting) caused by the Thyroid Eye Disease. Think of it as the doc adjusting my headlights with the lights off…The doc takes tons of measurements and then adjusts the muscles (loosening, tightening, or repositioning) to cause my eyes to return to non double vision but has to compensate for the healing process. Here is what I have seen for 6 years. First drawing was original damage. Second was after first surgery. (I had learned to live with this because my brain had learned to ignore the image in my right eye) Last is where I am now at least some of the time as things are still moving.

 

My wife is just having cataract surgery, one at a time. She has trouble with night vision, glare and bright light. Macular degeneration runs in her family, so she keeps on top of it. Good luck with your recovery and sharing some good information . Thanks

 

I’m glad that she is not going through this type of surgery. Hopefully her recovery will be much easier and quicker.

In 20 years, this won’t matter, but in 20 hours, I will have to notify my boss that I missed a State mandated paperwork submission deadline.

Evening folks, all the Xmas stuff is put away, back to normal, whatever normal is. Now it’s time for a little tax prep. Still no winter to speak of, can’t really complain.

Things are things, busy with the contract job but endlessly searching for a direct-hire position. I hope that you had a nice NYE.
