    i don't actually...
    ...ooh. i use mechanical pencils. no sharpening needed! or a carpenter's pencil for the less technical stuff

    i do have an electric sharpener for my colored pencils. and a basic one in my hiking survival pack - the shavings make great kindling if you can find small twigs to run through it and need to start a fire
