Been out of touch a few days in this thread. Sometimes life gets in the way a bit much to follow everything that gets posted in this super thread.

Should be a bit slower over the next couple days & can stay caught up with you all.

Hope everyone is as good as can be for us all being old & falling apart.

 

Most of the commercials were pretty decent. I Had seen an article on the internet that supposedly Jason Kelce (the one that plays for the Eagles) was going to be doing a couple TV ads for Franks Hot Sauce, as he is a lover of their sauce. I am also, and so was waiting to see those ads, but I never did.

That Dunkin' Donuts add during the first half..... I seriously may never go to a Dunkin' shop again in my life. To me, that was the most hideous, inducing TV ad I have ever seen. And only part of it were the "stars" in it.

 

I liked the Toyota Tacoma commercial, corny but funny

 

Cigarettes, beer, toilet paper, life essentials

 

I actually saw that one, looked like Solar Orange, which is among my favorite Tacoma colors

 

Not enough funny and playful ones to suit me. Most were either preachy and sad serious or exaggerated goofiness. As I told my grandson, "the commercials of years past were so much better." There, the old guy just went, "back in my day."

Sadly, I think it is time to let my 2002 Tacoma go. I can’t work on her like I used to, and have another mechanic bill to pay, and they told me the timing belt needs to be replaced again. I’ve owned her since day 1, and she’s served well for 182000 miles, plus 8 years of my daughter driving to school, college and off to her first place. A great truck and great memories, but it’s time.

 

Why is it time?

I mean you will have no problem selling it, but are you sure?
