Well, without me doing the labor, it becomes much more expensive to own. The timing belt quote the guy gave me was $1700, on top of the $900 I just spent for knock sensors.
Seems it’s just going to get too expensive to keep, and in my mind, makes sense to put more into my 2016.

Hate to see someone lose their 1st-y. Can’t replace them.
But I may be in the same boat soon so I get where you’re coming from. I know there’s some things going on with my 99 and I need to take it somewhere. If the repair is too much I may have to let it go. Love my truck but I can’t have a money pit if I’m saving for a house.

Thanks for the wishes! It was yesterday, another year 'wiser' , eh?

The national weather center put out a winter storm alert for my area, upwards of 6+ inches of heavy wet snow is possible. Maybe Shania Twain will stop by to bake me some cookies too... It is starting to drizzle right now, the Canukistanian air should bomb the area over night. We'll see. The YT weather people are all over the place with a forecast.

They just changed our forecast from 3 to 6, to a dusting, maybe.
Swapped Monday, Tuesday regiment because of the earlier forecast. Oh well…
    Just put the blowers away.
Now they say 3 to 6 for Friday. Throw darts and guess.

Yeah, I’m wanting to put a new head unit in the 16 to get Apple CarPlay, and some nice seat covers, so if I sell the ‘02, then I can put that money in the ‘16…but it’s gonna be a sad day for me.

i assume you got the frame replaced at some point? i bet you can still get a decent price for it, especially if you advertise around here.

    moron report for the day:
last week i sent an email to a few coworkers. something along the lines of "i don't know whats going on here, can someone tell me?"
few days pass and no response. so one of the coworkers forwards the email back to me with "can you answer this question for the team so we can get this project moving forward?"
o_O my reply was basically that no, i can't answer the question. i am the one who asked the question therefore i do not have an answer.
no reply back by the end of the day. they're probably still pondering that one
