It is indeed. But even though it is fairly high elevation, it will still be blazing hot if you are there in a summer/fall month.

You probably won't have the time, but Grand Canyon, Sedona are only 2-3 hours west. And if you ever get that far out, and have a full day to go see it, Monument Valley is up on the Arizona / Utah like. It's all on an Indian reservation, and kind of a long way from anything else, but well worth it if you can make it. The entire highway 40 corridor across all of AZ is filled with tons of National Parks, National Monuments, State Parks, and tons of amazing sights. People who have never been to AZ, or no where other than Phoenix, probably think AZ is just a desert waste land. Utah would be a similar situation, but nothing could be further than that the truth.

Depends on how you define "mature"..... By physical age? Then this is the right place. By mental age/sense of humor...... she could get in trouble for activities with the under aged :rofl::rofl::rofl:

There’s one thing I want to try to do this time I believe it’s at peach springs you can get a permit from the tribe and drive to the bottom of the canyon. There’s a campground right on the Colorado we weren’t able to work it in last time. And I totally agree if Phoenix was your only taste of Arizona most people would probably be done. But the higher elevations we’ve been to have made me a fan of Arizona. And we have explored around Sedona a couple times one of the dogs I transported out there is living in Sedona with a nurse practitioner and we stop in and visit when we get in the area. We are crazy about Sedona!! Lots of hiking and beautiful sites.

It’s my understanding we might have the Montana hookup as well but their might be nondisclosure agreements and blindfolds
