Marry Christmas everyone. Waiting for wifes two boys to get here. I got my present last May when I got the Tacoma. We just gave the dogs their gifts. Had fresh deer tracks behind dog pen this morning, maybe I should of gone out hunting.

Had 3 deer bedded in the front yard this morning just past the grass when I took the dogs out. Not sure they are still there I should get the camera out but it is so common I don't much about it. Easy chip shot with the bow, 2 yearlings but mamma should have some decent backstrap on her. And hello and welcome!

Went out to try and get a picture of the deer bedded in the woods from the deck but they must have moved after the dogs and I came in. But instead found this mink 20 yards from me in a tree, something you don't see everyday. Water is froze solid in the ravine so has to get food someplace. Squirrels nest at the top of the tree must be he was looking for juicy young squirrel for his Christmas dinner.

Was hoping to get another shot like this but his big brother, but will take the mink. It can be a struggle where I live in the winter and as I get older but no complaints and when I think about it blessed to live where I do.

    That's a pretty nice buck.

When I was bowhunting a couple weeks ago, I watched a Fisher steal a freshly killed grey squirrel from a Red Tail.
Needless to say, Hawk was irate.

We got rain Friday and Saturday, supposed to get more later in the week. Temps have been cooler but not what most consider too cold yet. Hopefully the low temps will keep a little moisture in the ground for a while.

    Merry Christmas Chuck!

Wow not the wood stocked Savage of yesteryear. They have produced some extremely accurate guns of late. I will not get into my feelings about plastic guns, etc. What ever trips your trigger so to speak. ;)

But the size of that knob on the bolt handle!!

That 10BA Stealth feels really nice in my hands and I really like that all aluminum monolithic stock !!

The other thing I like about this rifle is the fluted heavy barrel with a threaded muzzle for a brake . Only thing I would change is going to a fluted. Bolt assy
