The wife got two special sun glasses for the eclipse. She and my grandson are out on the deck as it's about time for our area. My wife was commenting on how it feels cooler. Dog is hiding and laying down. Seems like she knows something is up.

Pretty cool though. I can see why people centuries ago were so terrified when it happened having no understanding at the time how the universe worked

It peaked here at 312pm.... Wife & me laid on the car trailer under my welding hoods & watched it that way.

We only got 95% coverage here, but with the clouds rolling by she got some decent shots.

It’s pretty cool to look at. I’m at 92% where I am.

I sacrificed a goat @ peak time. We were less than a 100%, didn’t warrant a cow. All joking aside it was pretty awesome, we were at 90%, clear skies

I hope you didn't look at it unprotected. Like looking at Medusa, you will turn to stone.

so we were in the path of totality at my house but cloud cover came in. We only saw the beginning of the eclipse thru glasses when it was a waning crescent. When the totality darkness came for a few minutes of total darkness it was erilly weird.

We were 95% here, was pretty cool, but I was surprised how light it actually stayed with so much of the sun covered…

We got 75% coverage, I think, and it was still pretty bright out. Still cool to watch, IMHO

Good evening gang. I got to watch a bit of the eclipse from the work parking lot, I took my welding helmet with me. I wouldn't lend it out so the unprepared people thought I was being a dick... sorry, I don't want anyone else's dead skin cells on my sweat bands inside of the helmet.

Ummm, how to say this in a way such that it doesn't come across as rude or sexist... being how it's so cold where you live, I would have though that the puppies would always be wrapped up in flannel or something warm like that. ;)
