Why is there an old style coffee grinder and coffee beans on the work desk?
Being in the service industry, here's how I see it. They sent you the new guy without a ride-along senior tech, that means they are trying to save money the wrong way.

They correct the issue by doing what you asked, replace the coupler, it didn't work. Putting the old one back cost more in labor that it is worth so that doesn't surprise me they left it.

They pushed you to a later time because you asked them not to send the new guy. An old trick to get you to take the new guy.

Overall, they came out, told you what you needed, couldn't comply and didn't charge you.
Sounds like the right thing to do.

Also sounds like the aren't paying thier labor well. Don't have enough workers and can't attract new help with thier crappy wages. I am sure management has a living wage.

More efficient to get the caffeine by just ingesting the beans directly

Thanks everybody. Browser is feeling a lot better.

We do brown rice & broth when they don't feel good... Once they get back to ready to eat a bit.

Good evening everyone. Today was a Monday with a capital "M". It started with the drive to werk, about 1/2 way there the Taco got a few hiccups then the $$ light and TRAC light came on.. Fook me. A long day of epic stupidity for 9 hrs then the drive home. The scan tool came with with 2 stored codes of P0327. The knock sensor. I called the local stealership they want $270. I googled the P/N and found a few on line Toyota parts depts doing on line orders, average price of around a buck-fiddy. Rockauto shows a few aftermarket versions, I wouldn't touch them with a 10' stick. Then I saw the Beck Arnley parts claiming to be a Denso ( from Japan) part. $75. I normally ALWAYS go with OE parts when it comes to the electrical stuff, but I'm kind leaning towards the Denso part for replacement knock sensor. Does anyone have any input/experience?

@BarcelonaTom67 - I was just reading about a new VA program that is designed to keep Veterans in their homes when faced with certain foreclosure. It might be worth a look into. I'm always catching up with this thread and hoping to hear good news from you, I'm sure it will happen soon.

FWIW, all I ever have are WTF experiences when either talking to some mouth breathing F-n idiot from a company about a engineering tech/designer position, or I've gotten to an interview and the recruiting company has told them that I'm a mechanical Engineer, which I am not. Those interviews will last all of 3 minutes. I absolutely HATE recruiting companies/ contract work, but all that seems to be out there. Companies want to hire 20 year olds with 30 years of experience. I grind my teeth on the way to the job everyday, and it seems that the stupidity around there increases exponentially every week. So it's not just you.. it's the world that we are currently in. Unfortunately I don't see it getting any better.
