:anonymous: Don't wanna say I bookmarked that ... but I have to.
I've gotten to where I prefer to pan cook/sear all my game steaks at a medium heat in a little olive oil to keep from drying them out.

    :hattip: Well, I care.

BTW, based on your recommendation, I've got my purchasing agent hunting down the best deal on one of those antigravity battery packs. ;)

On the bakery stuff, don't sweat it ... kind of Winter ya'll are having, you can use a little insulation. Dogs can help you get rid of the excess in the Spring. :)

Yea I like to just put the skillet right into warmed oven. And I always use an olive oil with Himalayan rock salt.

I was fortunate my dad really knew his way around a fire and a piece of meat. And growing up with him, I don't remember a day when I didn't learn something. We did a lot of "minimalist" stuff and it really came in handy through the years. Cooking over a fire is about as basic as it gets, yet can get the best results as long as you can learn what the different woods and charcoal will do. But now that I'm in a desert environment I'm having to adapt and it's alot of fun figuring out the behavior of different woods here.

I have a couple of the antigravity boosters at work. I have the xp10 in my truck for the diesels. It's pretty nice but, if the battery too low, it still won't get it started. We sometimes have to hook up to another truck and let it charge. But if the battery is good and just low on charge, the antigravity gets it kicked off with no problems.

My sons came up with that. Strangely enough, my wife bought pumpkin one year...I hate pumpkin. But curiosity got the better of me and I tried it. Deep frying them changed the flavor to apple. Must be the heat, turkey drippings and Tony's injection spices I use, but they sure as heck tastes like apple.

I see those out at the LTVA's. A lot of snowbirds have them. I'll eventually get around to those. But you gotta admit, sitting around a warm fire bsing with family and friends sounds alot more inviting than sitting next to a shiney, sterile box. But I will eventually get one.

That's exactly why I'll get one eventually. But I'd need to build a dog-proof enclosure first and I already have way too many projects.
