    Good morning everybody

Heat and humidity are building down here this week. Starting today heat indexes are 103-108 until Wednesday.

Dewayne, heres a little trick I picked up years ago for those 870 rifle sights if you are starting to have a problem settling the front post into the notch. Take a chainsaw file and run it through the rear notch about 4-5 times, it will open it up just enough to let some light in but won’t hurt the accuracy. It was passed on by an old school Remington factory armorer at a 870 armorer's school I attended.

Just another reason I like you... I have the 870 Armorers Handbook in my reloading room. I've tuned and polished the internals on mine and installed a Timney trigger.

On the ships I was always on Ships Self Defense Force. We had an Ithaca 37 in the locker and everyone knew to keep their mitts off it because it was MINE! It had the ordnance bomb stamp on it of course and I called it my bomb 37. For close in fighting on ships with steel compartments it was a no brainer to me. Always wished it had a duckbill on it like Sr. Chief Watson "Patches" 37 had, one of the first Navy SEALs back when the Teams were first formed in Nam.

One day they came on board and took the 37 away and replaced it with a Mossberg 500, gag! And took the M14's and replaced them with plastic M16 and the 45's with those little 9mm pop guns. It was a sad day.

    ^^^^^ nope. Sold all the 10, 16 & 20 gauge stuff.

Very sorry to hear of the medical stuff. It seems to be the reward for working our whole life away.

Stay positive as that's the most important part.
