Good morning everybody. Time to get going before the heat sets in, I’ve got grass to mow.

Heat index is supposed to be 105 today, drink water, lots of water.

You seem to have the most experience with these things :notsure:
And I’ll tell you one river name for every poop dump
I have one of those. Pretty beat up looking though. And highly inaccurate. Many times I’ve been on roads not on the map or on roads with 14 forks but the map shows a single route
How was MermAndy’s first night? Remember he’s not housebroken…
where are we adventuring to? And why are you still in school? Everything out here has been done since the first week of June

Next trip to the Cape, I’ll march down Commercial Street in Provincetown with MermAndy. Maybe stop in one of the gay bars and prop him up on a chair.

 morning gang. Nothing like getting woken up when your fan goes off along with everything else. :angrygirl::annoyed: Then zoie won't come back in since the battery backup and alarm are beeping due to no power.

Stay cool out there and drink plenty of fluids. Supposed to be about 99* here today.

That doesn’t sound fun. Too much demand on the power grid?

Doubt it... too early in the day for it, but don't know. Just happy it's back on

Fishing was meh this weekend but at least the scenery was nice to look at
    IMG_2926.jpg
tried here too but it was too windy and my fly was trying to be a kite and stay airborne for extended periods. Also wasn’t easy aiming for a 18” wide channel in the wind even though this is what my rod is meant to do
    IMG_2942.jpg
but I did finally catch one little guy. Put him back since him alone wouldn’t have been enough for a full meal.

Along with topos and National Forest maps plus lots of others. They all are marked up with mapping pencils for changes in them. None are accurate as is.

Have gone to electronic maps with paper as a backup even in Canada. The best I have found is Scout and Hunt. While targeted for Aspen Cuts you drill down in layers to very accurate trail maps. Come to find out many single track moose trails were logging roads at one time

Glad yours is back on too! Went through that a couple of weeks ago wasn't as hot as you have to go through but was bad enough.

Growing up we would often loose power in the early morning, that was when all the farmers would turn on their milking machines. Was hi tech in the 60's and vacuum tubes and systems were run through the barns to collect the milk. Drew more power than the grid could handle and it would often bring down the whole power grid in rural areas. Someone someday might get the idea to plug in cars to pull off the grid and, erhhh never mind....
