    Good Morning

Here the storms were not as bad as "they" predicted. Still wasn't good. We didn't need the rain.

    Good morning :pccoffee:

Same here Dan. Yeah I am going to declare the draught as officially being over. Have had enough downed trees and flooding for the year.

Was going to grill a steak last night when I finally got home but was exhausted and it was lighting out. And sticky. Condensation running down the outside of the windows this morning at 72°.

Here ours have a raised concrete curb to divide the 3and 4 lane ones you run into at Santee. And the two lane ones at smaller lakes have a floating pier in the middle usually. Gives the non backers some feedback when they get out of their lane. And for added obstacles on the two lane theirs usually a couple guys in chairs with a can of worms that walk past the no fishing on the pier sign sitting on the end.

Good morning everybody! We have to go pick up our winnings today somebody turned Mikala on to an auction site that has returned goods. Could be lots of different items she got some seat covers for her Tacoma a dog bed a live trap and a stainless litter box. I watched a pair of not my size Korker wading boots go for 1 dollar Sunday and some others go for 30 or 40 they didn’t have any 13’s so I could play. The items come from Walmart,Lowe’s Kohl’s and Amazon so it might be anything I saw a sage rod with a broken tip the first day with a bid of around 30 on it. I guess you could pay to have it repaired without much trouble but on something like that I’ll buy new from a fly shop.

My wife has a system where she makes a series of unintelligible hand gestures as I use the mirrors to launch the boat. She returns the favor by ignoring my gestures as she drives it back onto the trailer when we’re done. Good system.

Spent most of the day and early evening getting tests done yesterday. Kind of strange being a patient instead of an employee. Meet with a doctor early this afternoon to find out plan of action. So far cautiously optimistic from the results that have landed in the patient portal at 3:30 this morning. But I am no doctor. But I do know that I am in the right place if you have to go through something like cancer or many other medical issues. Watched Mayo save my youngest sons life at least 4 times when he had advanced stage 4B cancer and he is still in remission.

View of the Plummer building from the 18th floor of the Gonda building

Dr. Plummer built the building for the Mayo brothers, and himself. It was considered state of the art at the time in 1928. Just 30 years before I was born and now almost 100 years old. I've been there 24 years and have seen a lot of changes.

View of the Gonda (and Mayo) buildings looking the other way from the Plummer building

A lot of buildings and keeps growing at a faster pace. Mayo is not for profit and reinvests money. And when you save the lives of extremely wealthy people they are grateful despite what many think of them. They do prefer the buildings they donate money for be named after them.

What the expansion will look like in a few years to the West

Research buildings are doubling and combined into Discovery Square

Not a fan of new building designs for the most part. One of the new research buildings is complete

Wonder in another 100 years if someone will look back and think of it as classic. Or wonder what the hell were they thinking?
