Good morning everybody. Rainy and very humid. Flash flood warnings, severe thunderstorms and also high heat indexes warnings keep popping up. It’s a strange weather day even by Florida standards lol.

Michael, good luck on the adoption. Bring that pretty girl home!

I’m looking at those Ambient stations now. I like that ultrasonic wind sensor but boy are they proud of it. Do the outside sensors use batteries, if so approximately how long do they last?

Blevin .... the batteries for my outside weather sensor have last over a year with no issues . The batteries in mine are AA batteries

A day without rain! It was pouring again yesterday. Northern Wisconsin is getting slammed. A winter with no snow and a summer without sun is killing a lot of local tourist business. Let’s hope the sun is a new trend. IMG_3860.jpg

Thanks Chuck. Way longer than I thought the batteries would last.

People with health issues need to wear some sort of I D for situations just like that. My severe neuropathy make it look like I'm stoned drunk to people who don't know. I wear a "dog tag" with a red cross and a brief description of why might be struggling.

BTW, You get a gold star for HERO OF THE DAY.

    Good job.

My Ambient station has rechargeable batteries and a small solar panel on the station. Batteries last indefinitely until they don’t hold a charge anymore - mine lasted about 4 years before replacing them. I have my station on the roof on top of a 6’ pole to get above the heat from the shingles and get over the peak for the winds.

Good afternoon everyone. I'm back from a pick-and-pull run to get some weather pack connectors, sensors and miscellaneous junky stuff for the firewood truck. On the way out I spied a '09 Taco that wasn't picked clean, more like a fresh road kill. I good sized whack to the right front corner did it in. I snagged the emergency flasher switch, hoping that '09 is green back lit and not the orange. My '15 Taco doesn't have a clock.

How do you like your OBI? We looked into the Dweller 13. Was a little heavier than I wanted to tow with the Tacoma. Maybe I was wrong…maybe I’m just jealous. It’s a nice trailer.
