Apparently spider silk is non conducive until 40% relative humidity, when it begins to conduct with increasing efficiency the more humid it gets. Who knew? IMG_3865.jpg

Behind the primary exterior cut-off safety plate were 2 decades of cobwebs. Sketchy to even open it up, but I blasted it clean and coated everything with dielectric grease.

Was that the cabin’s intermittent humidity related issue? We will find out.

Then… My wife flipped a seldom used switch in the basement and blew a fuse. 8 hours later, the whole circuit is now to some approximation of code as per YouTube. If I never touch a multi-meter again, it will be too soon.

The electric turd has been polished a little more.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Good evening everyone,

Good thoughts to you Chuck. Kidney stones are nothing to mess around with, and I know you know that. Sounds like your Doctor is on top of it.

I have been using Mobil1 for almost 30 years. Never had any issues.

A 50+ oil thread!? Excellent! lol! For years (decades and decades) I’ve changed at 5k (ish) intervals with whatever’s cheapest. We have kept most of our vehicles deep into the 200k range and never had any oil related issues. My opinion is that SAE oil is all good enough, and most (not all) people don’t really need to worry about it.

I know…I know…it was a rookie question…but Castrol was getting a little too pricey for me. So I asked for feedback.

    Feel better Chuck

I used to use Castrol, but switched 10 or 15 years ago (but don't remember why :anonymous:) Walmart has Mobil 1 cheaper in the 5 qt jugs

I had a procedure done by catheter on my prostate. It was a "prosteva". Given the option of a surgical catheter vs being hit repeatedly with a 2x4, I'll take the lumber...
