I never see one closer than 75 yards or so. But I will see them or their tracks around brush piles or areas I've cleared brush out of (I'd imagine looking for rodents or their remains if they got ran over in the process) but just from a distance then they walk off.

I never heard of them until I moved here either, believe it is a Midwest thing. But after cooking them with butter mixed in hard to go back to a regular burger. I have used bacon grease mixed in before as well :anonymous:

The butter burger started in Wi. and very popular at Culvers. The Juicy Lucy was invented in Mn. The Midwest takes their burgers seriously LOL.

I'm a staunch advocate of bacon grease mixed in with hamburger and butter on a steak, just never heard of butter burgers. Sounds intriguing.

I have used Amsoil exclusively in both diesel pickups I owned (Ford, Dodge), and in my Tacoma since brand new. Mobil 1 is a fine product as well. I do't know how important it is, but I was always taught it is not a good idea to mix different brands of oil (changing between manufacturers when changing oil), as the additives/other properties may not play well together in your engine.

Oh, and I used Amsoil in my Harley Sportster and Yamaha sport bikes, as well.

My first college roommate and a friend of his did some engineering consulting after college and created or improved the Davis Instruments weather stations. Was fun seeing what they were doing but that was 25-30 ?? years ago

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I almost forgot this conversation I had with my son last week. He had been by his grandmother's house and tells me with a chuckle: 'I guess I got an orinance passed in the village.'

Well, last year for the 4th, he brought about $400 worth of fireworks over there to put on a show. Not small stuff by any means! Big ole up in the air, booming stuff that was probably visible and audible for a couple of miles!

Apparently, someone remembered in May and put the kibosh to the possibility of a repeat this year in the form of an ordianace at the monthly Village Meeting. Afterward, my ex-MIL was informed by letter of the ordinance. She didn't think to keep it, I would have had it framed! He was all proud of himself.:bananadance:
