    Not sure why but when my dogs get older they hate fireworks and start to shake. The oldest climbed in bed on one side of me and his son didn't want to be left out so he climbed on the other side of me and leaned against me also. So I was a doggie sandwich most of last night. Thought the neighbors were never going to stop setting them off it was a short night. At 5 AM the dogs wanted me to get up and feed them like normal.

    Never thought of taking today off from work to make a 4 day vacation. But not like I am going to go all out today and sometime around 2-2:30 I may or may not be working hard at all. Or hardly working. They should have a nappy icon for work status in Teams, just saying...

    The rain held off just enough to get the fireworks show in...and I mean just. As the final flurry started going up, I started feeling drops. Turned out to be just a spit, didn't amount to much but that's OK...we've had more than our share of rain in the past month and a half.

    Lots of fireworks, the city fires them off from the local school, full on display, well done. Then the neighbors shoot them off all day and night.
