:notsure: I've been around. Just have had other stuff to do. Trying to not spend so much time on here :anonymous: My timing doesn't seem to match anyone else's

    Howdy all!

Expecting about 1 foot or more starting tomorrow morning. Switched the Prius to snow tires. Lowered tire pressures a couple PSI on both the Tacoma and our Prius. Loaded up recovery gear, shovel, chainsaw, gas can, etc into the Tacoma. Usually when a snowstorm hits, I end up pulling someone from a ditch or on long waits on the road, give out extra gas, water and the occasional granola bar. Hopefully it will be uneventful tomorrow, but its good to be prepared. Generator has been checked and fired up. Same with the snowblower.

Wish my wife and I could just stay home but we work in healthcare. Main reason we have a 4WD truck.

Tonight I'll be staying at a hotel near work to make sure I'm able to get to work as quickly as possible. In fact, yesterday, I reserved a 20 room block of rooms at the local Marriot for my team. I'm glad I did that yesterday, because today, there's not a single hotel room in a 25 mile radius (probably more, but I didn't check.)

For a foot of snow, I know everything I've done may sound like overkill to many, but it's something that I've always felt I have to do. And it's paid off many times in the past.

I've done everything I could to be prepared and keep my family safe and secure. Hope y'all on this storm path have done the same. Stay warm and stay safe everyone.

 for being prepared and thinking ahead. When I lived in Fairbanks, we were told to keep blankets, food, water, shovel, sterno fuel in our vehicles for breakdowns. Thank fully we never did breakdown. Stay safe out there!!!!

Two shoveling trips outside so far. It's NASTY out there. Coming down hard and the wind is blowing it sideways. And the worst is yet to come.

Yeah, the gust of 55 mph appear to be along the coast. Thank Goodness for that, 25 mph is bad enough !

That's why I'm going out often, Susan. Much easier to shovel three inches 12 times than 36 inches one time.

The snow is still relatively light here at the moment with almost no winds....

I was to drive to Tampa this morning I left at 3 am and went down 15 S and use 3 to cut over to 95 and the roads had ice patches so I turned around and came back....
