Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Left the house at 0715 this morning, it was 76*. Had a charity bike ride today, 28 miles. Went with a former co-worker, who retired a few weeks before me, his daughter, and granddaughter. Went really well, had a good time. Temp at finish was 89*. After being at the track yesterday, I'm baked. I got passed by 2 old ladies...they were riding electric bikes (cheaters).

About 200 yards from the turn into the finish area, a woman pulls along side me. I looked at her and said: I can't do it, I'm turning around! I thought she was going to fall off her bike laughing.

    -8860637791699471107.jpg

His sister, her boyfriend, and her 2 sons also rode, but they lolly-gagged all day, we hardly saw them. BTW, in the background is Grignon Mansion in Kaukauna, WI.

He was in maybe the same general area. Probably a few miles west of there. The whole stretch from Lincoln to the intersection of hwys 200 and 141 looks that way. Lots of tree jams and blue holes.

Good evening everyone. We had some bad heat again, I was junkyard scrounging and damn near passed out, the heat is really getting to me this year for some odd reason. It started pouring a few hours again and it just stopped, I'm headed to a local barn venue to listen to some bluegrass music.

Just set the puppies free, they will be freezing soon enough.

Air has been not only hot but extremely heavy.
    Hard to breathe.
Still have the jeep to work on but dam it’s to much to do without getting paid to do it.lol
Gotta get the bike out. Very few on the road the past few days. Not cooling off while riding.

One of our rescues came from a home with 2 small children. Dad didn't really want a dog, wife went ahead and bought a puppy...a CORGI puppy. Young girls would run around the house and the puppy did what a Corgi does...herds them, nipping at heels and all. Girls scream, dad grabs a paper and swats the puppy! Eventually, she was biting everyone, didn't trust a soul.

She was such a mess when we got her. Any time a hand would get close to her head, especially from above, she would roll on her back and start biting at anything that moved. She actually bit both of us, drew blood with me. Rescue wanted us to put her down because of the biting...it was all fear. My ex-wife saw a lot of drive in her and told rescue she wanted a couple of weeks to see if we could get to her.

Within 2 weeks, working with her and our other Corgi, she began to trust us and looked to our other Corgi for support. She became an amazing agility dog and even did quite well working with sheep, though she was a bit aggressive with the sheep.

Yes, people can be such dopes about getting a dog. Often, someone else has to fix the problem.

    Some days it’s been oppressive.
    Rarely seen up here.
Last time it was like 92° with a heat index of 102°
Not a dry heat at all.
Not quite as bad this time…

My only trip to Texas almost killed me. That was the first time I’d ever experienced humidity and 100* temps. Passed out at six flags Houston. Ended up in the infirmary. I ain’t built for heat!
