You have to do it to get it. Sort of a religious experience. And that might not be the case with everyone they just need a better rod:thumbsup:

Good Morning to all! Busy the last few days, trying to get back in touch.

Still looking for a new job. Don't remember if I had posted this before, but the State of Kentucky implemented a program in 2020 called "Save my KY Mortgage", to provide additional financial assistance to people or families that were significantly impacted by the Covid lockdowns. Loss of job. new expenses due to Covid,.... Our Realtor told us about it, as we had been talking with her about the high likelihood of having to dump our house if I didn't find a job very soon. I looked into the program, it is no longer just for Covid relief, it is for any significant hardship, if your circumstances qualify. Basically, if you are accepted into the program, the State will work with your mortgage lender to pay any payments you are behind on, then pay your mortgage for up to 6 months, or $60,000, whichever comes first. Or until your hardship condition no longer exists. It took about 5 weeks, but last week I received notice that I was accepted into the program, and they are now working with my lender to get everything in place. So that will pay our mortgage until at least December 31. This is a huge relief, as the mortgage is our highest monthly expense, as it usually is for most families. So now I can look at applying for lower paying, but more readily available IT jobs, that would cover he rest of our monthly expenses, until I can find another, high end IT job.

I applied for KY Unemployment right after I got laid off. They started sending money within a couple weeks, but made it clear that as of July 2023, the State passed new legislation that unemployment benefits for claims after July 2023 would last only 16 weeks. Sure enough, in February 2024, I received notice that my last check would come in on (some date in February), and that was the end of it.
