I’ll have to look at the damage when I get back home. If it’s repairable then I’ll fix it. Otherwise I’ll call insurance if it’s a total loss.

thanks for the concern and support. More than I got when I texted mother.

I saw Buddy at the local arena here, in May 2023. Still one of the most memorable concerts I have ever been to. I'm not sure there are ANY other artists still touring who have been at it as long as he has. I believe he even has the Rolling Stones beat for longevity. The music was, of course, top notch. But for me, it wasn't really about the music, so much. It was far more about seeing an artist who helped to create a genre from the very beginning, and has been performing continually since the earliest days of modern recorded blues music. It was a history lesson, a time machine, transporting the audience back to days long gone. You can only get that experience from an OG, and I do believe he is the very last one still touring.

Yes , longer than the Stones. He’s lost a little zip in his step, we were thrilled to see him again. We saw him years ago, with Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter. The legends can’t live forever.IMG_0334.jpg

I thought she was gonna break my rod! Caught her under the end of that tree in the other photo. She actually hooked herself in the nose with the fly, not sure how I managed to bring her in.
    no, that was last weekend.

I bet she did put up a fight she looks healthy! What weight does your rod work out to be or do they size them like fly rods?

I actually thought I was snagged under that tree. I was using some kind of caddis thing and when I got to the end of the tree I pulled back and it didn’t budge. Thought ‘oh, crap. Not getting this one back…’ then ZOOM she took off swimming.
She was about 14” I think, nice and chonky. Caught two 12”ers too. And a bunch of 6 or 8”ers. And a tiny baby 2” cutthroat. He thankfully spit the fly out on his own because there was no way I was gonna be able to untangle him without hurting him.
Oh, and 3 free flies! The nymphs are kinda rusty but the hopper is still good
