    got any decent reels? I found that ugly stick last year in the driftwood. Rod is good but the reel is shot. I’ve thought about fixing it up when flies aren’t gonna work.

    I think so I ended up with two good fly rods reels and all. They will be great loaners if I end up with a partner at some point. Two or three spinning reels appear to never had line on them. I don’t have high hopes for the baitcasters. I did pick up a couple complete closed face combos that are probably going in the boat for some panfish action.

    wasn't too bad - mid 70's and a couple of quick rainstorms. had the heater on at night too!
    oh, and tenkara rods aren't rated by weight like regular fly rods. the tenkara usa site says my rod is good "up to 20" fish"...i dont think i wanna try to bring in a 20" fish if a 14" had it nearly bent in half! :laugh:
