I fought dizzy spells for 4 years. Had all sorts of tests. Finally figured it out myself. Side effects of blood pressure med that I didn't actually need.

Good afternoon all. Completed the mowing of my yard this morning, it usually takes a decent 3 days to get it all done. It usually grows fast enough that I need to mow about every 2 weeks. I actually enjoy it, my Zero Turn mower is kind of like riding a go kart around the property. Except for all the kidney and spine busting groundhog holes :annoyed::rofl:

I used to love cutting grass. 4 hours with the weedeater, then 3 hours on the rider (60" deck) then a couple hours on the full size tractor with an 8' rear mounted finish mower. Then switch to a10' batwing and cut the 8 acres in back of the property.... and then start over.
    Now I hire it done.

We have 9 acres total, I estimate about 7 that gets mowed. I rarely get the weed eater out, as all that hunching over really farkles up my back. I wish they made different length shafts so I could get one that would allow me to stand straight up. The first time we cut out grass/weeds, we had just moved in, and I hadn't bought my xero turn yet. I had a local outfit come to do it, charges me $250, and that was without weed eating (he quoted me another $125 for that). So, I calulated that after about 17 total mowings, my zero turn pays for itself. That will definitely happen before the end of mowing season 2025.

    Tom,

As a guy with a bad back who cant "wear" a weed eater anymore.......

You should really look into a Stihl yardboss. You don't carry it. Its on wheels, you just walk behind it. I use the weed eater head, tiller & the broom on mine. Super handy for us old guys.

After years of hard use, our DR finally lost a valve seat and died. We replaced it with this. Great tool.

An Amazon package came that I didn’t order. It’s a Lego set - Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter.

Thank you very much. I am so appreciative of everyone. You are all too kind.

I let them grow, die and fall over.

My wife isn't on board with it.

    Nice.

Normally this is where I post a picture of the hood of my truck. But it seems to disturb some of you deeply.

    It is sap season

I do the same. My wife doesn’t like it either. My solution was having her pull the weeds while I watch through the window. Works for me.

I did my grass today. It's 2 acres and it takes about 3 -4 hours from start to finish. I weed whack for nearly and hour to start, trimming and cutting around the trees, bushes, sidewalks, and landscaping ties. There are portions I have to push mow and then there's the front yard, which my wife prefers to be pushed mowed. then the riding mower, sweeping of the walkways and cleaning of the implements. Today was a great day, coolish and low humidity.

Thanks everyone. The verdict, for now, is 'Orthostatic hypertension'. EKG looked ok, BP fluctuated between laying down or standing up, Yatta Yatta Yatta.. blood work will see if the kidneys are working correctly, the DRs gut feeling is dehydration, even though my pee is clear and the 'skin snap' on top of the hand looked decent.

I think that the current stress load isn't helping me. Time for a chill pill and a VayCa somewhere. I need to find that perfect T4R in CO/AZ/UT/MT, fly out and enjoy a nice road trip back here.

    20240813_145620.jpg

Anyone have one of these? The price is tempting, but being a wallyworld private label product makes me pause.
