One of the best days I ever had fishing I didn’t catch anything had a few tugs. But the Bald Eagle caught a big ole brown trout right in front of me, 50’-60’ away, it spooked the fish for awhile

 

Mine is a 4# 9’ and when I picked it up I had a oh shit moment but I held off to be sure. I like my old recon better and my nymph rod is also a recon. But that freaking Winston haunted me and I love to cast that thing. And I actually had a moment when everything came together and I had a guy in the bushes watching me. When the dry landed he spoke up and said that was beautiful. I looked around and smiled and told him even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally. I thought I was alone and after finding out I had an audience I knew it wasn’t going to happen again. But that happened on THE junction pool.
