I saw a video where people would rotate to the front to get their turn to catch a fish. Somewhere in NY if I remember correctly. Not me!

Damn it, got something in both my eyes, making them water. Nose is running too.

My son's little Leah (I'm her human though) had a tough couple days and ended up in ER yesterday. I had nearly given up on her this time. About 8 years ago we dropped 10K on back surgery. No way am I putting a 13yo dog thru that again. Pain meds, and no more jumping off the bed for her. At least she drank some water and ate a few bites of filet last night before she slept.

Got the boat home. Had about 50 gallons of water inside the cabin that I had to pump out. There’s a hole the size of a dinner plate in the cabin top, damage to the base of the mast, missing the mast mounting plate, missing the wind vane, and a few holes in my new mainsail. It looks like the port stay failed by tensile. I imagine the wave action and wind was probably slightly unloading the stays and then slamming them with tension. If I fix it, I’ll either increase the size of the wire rope stays or double up on how many there are or do both. I don’t think the boat is designed to be moored out in that weather as it’s more of a daysailer/weekender. So for now she’ll sit on the side of the driveway with a tarp over the cabin.

Both Ticketmaster and some random medical processor sent me, the wife, and my youngest similar "opps" letters over the last two weeks. I'm already frozen and pay for monitoring, especially after those surfboards I bought in Hawaii, that pallet of government goods that was probably 7.62, and all that camera gear on safari in Africa.

At least I surf and been to Hawaii . . .

Yes I have insurance but they’d call it a total loss as it’s an agreed value policy. I have it really for liability to allow me to be a member of the club.

Open it! IF it says you have to do something at <insert any store/bank/credit> then close the email and log in directly to said place. NEVER click the links unless you are in IT and know html coding.

Bummer. But you think its fixable? I guess that's maybe as good as you can hope for considering what its been through.

It’s fixable. I’m still debating if I want to go through all of this or just end my sailing career.
