U need a good size unit for it to be effective. Dirt is heavy.

Ours is outside next to the house. And it has gas in it all the time, although I do shut off the valve and run the carb dry every time I shut it down. I run it about once a month just to keep the "juices flowing". ;)

Have as good a day as possible given work, wind, snow, and the idiots out in it ... Hmmm... Good luck with all that. Is it too late to just stay home?

We almost broke record yesterday. Got to 80.
Now it's in the 50's with wind blowing. Hopefully a migraine doesn't start up.

Good morning folks. Our temps are 40's to low 70's, slight breeze and cloudy with a threat of rain tomorrow and Monday. Gearing up for another 4 day weekend.

I do NOT get on the roof with snow on it. Over the years known too many people that one turned out bad for. On the other hand in Buffalo NY before you buy a house you better get in the attic and check the roof for a "broken back". That heavy wet lake effect stuff doesn't blow off very easily. Good news is you can hire people to come shovel your roof for you. Going to cost you of course, but I wouldn't want to do it. My sister in Buffalo talked about doing it more than once herself and one of my nephews has called me and tells me about their "crazy" Mom LOL.

One side of my house doesn't have much room between the house and a steep ravine so can't reach the roof with a rake. Worse is that side of the house has a cathedral ceiling so there is little ventilation. Tried every trick in the book short of a cold roof, time comes a metal roof is going in. Heat tape in the gutters helps sometimes but can watch the electric meter spin. Eventually use nylon stockings filled with salt melt in them tied to a piece of line and throw them up there to melt a path for the water to flow off so it doesn't damage the inside of the house.

That part of the year is coming up next. What was I saying about moving South? Doesn't sound so bad right now, so I try to just not think about it.

In Seattle, I once had a older coworker that didn't show up on time for work. And he NEVER is late for work. so after about an hour, we sent a couple of friends over to his house. He was unconscious. He fell off his roof.

If I do go the roof, which is gonna be very rare. I make sure there are people around me, in full view of me, chatting with me, etc.

That's a shame. I think it must have been too cold in the booth.
