A little of this and a little of that.
    :hattip:Good morning

Been busy with work, missed a few days. Not a great excuse, but it’s the truth.

Hang in there Chief Mike. Great pictures.

Pulled a muscle in my back a week ago, it was healing, then my son made me mad so I didn't ask for help with a big box.

Now it really hurts and my son got to say "told you so"

    Good old pride

On the topic of rain.... In our part of Kentucky (southeast, about 100 miles due north of Knoxville, TN), we seem to get rain at least every 2 weeks or so, year round. About a week or so back, I saw a press conference with our Governor, talking about how Kentucky has been in a drought. I have learned that in this part of the country / State, you can have very different weather just 20 miles away. Our town will often have rain, when my in-laws town (15 miles away) has none, and the other way around. But overall, I suspect most of KY gets close to the same amount of rain on an annual basis.

As a 50+ year resident, and native of California, I laughed my ass off when I heard the Governor day "drought". 'You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means'. California gets on average, maybe 12 - 15" total rain a year. The rain season is from November - February, and then it might rain *once* between March - October. The entire State is brown, dead, and on fire for 6 months every year. Ever since I was a kid in the 1970's, California Governors have pushed water conservation efforts. Put a brick in your toilet tank to reduce water usage when flushing. In the 80's, Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley urged "don't flush your toilet after every use". Now that shit is drought conditions. KY stays green and lush all year, except in deepest winter when all the leaves have fallen off trees, it can look a little "dead".

We got about 1" last night, barely anything this morning. The black heavy clouds that were overhead a couple hours ago are gone, now it's just thin grey clouds, doesn't look like rain anytim soon today.

Yep, LA is an area with 10 million+ people in a desert reigon. We shouldn't have this many with so little rain. But SF, and LA get alot of water from the Sierras. So when we don't have alot of snow pack, we are in deep doo-doo.

And don't ask about about the Colorado river.

While I was walking my dog this low flying plane went over. It looks like a private craft or maybe a transport plane? there's an AF base about 10-12 miles away, as the crow flies.

No markings? Could be secret service and all of the armored motorcade vehicles?

All the United Nations clowns are in NYC right now so they might be moving some of the clowns around.

Yeah living in the desert with lush lawns and golf courses sucked the Colorado dry. Drought is a relative term based region and normal rainfall. We got hammered with rain in June and July, then nothing until a few weeks ago, “drought conditions “ , I know my lawn is dead

They might be able to fit all the clowns in one small plane. I've seen something like that...somewhere

But that'd lessen their hypocrisy of telling us our cars pollute too much while flying around in private jets that pollute infinitely more. :D
