You do have to keep an eye on that in Arizona in the lower areas, but the lower areas are painfully obvious just by driving around or doing a "google earth survey". I'm not in a flood area but they are here. The Colorado River basin is pretty wide and there are alot of houses in it. Almost all the farm land is in it and there are thousands of acres of it. But it's easy to identify by the roads climbing up out of it back onto high ground.

 

As long as I can keep the wind off my neck and my feet warm, I usually do fair good. It's when my mustache starts growing icicles that things aren't going so well.

 

Yeah. Like a idiot I'm wearing tennis shoes and no hat. I've got gloves though, and a light jacket so that was ok. If i had hair having no hat wouldn't have been bad. ...

Like Chuck said, lots of rain. I am at work waiting for a customer to open the damn door. His car is here but he won't answer the phone or my knocking.

The wife and I are planning on heading thru AZ this coming year but will most likely stick to the central and northern areas. She enjoys astrology and there's the Clark observatory outside of Flagstaff. From there probably check out some of the national parks of Utah. Maybe give the truck a little workout.

 

Flagstaff is nice. It gets more of the seasons than we do. I would have headed that way if there was a position there when this one came along.

No. I'm retired (2009). But I do work out near there and stop in occasionally at the bowling alley for lunch.

 

I was there last July for testing. It was nice and warm.

 

Nah, that's right there in Dixie Alley. I'm thinking more towards the West.

 

Northern AL is really nice, but you have to selective on location to avoid tornadoes.

 

...very! I had a family friend out there for about 2 years as a free-fall instructor. He had some interesting duty hours. I change my work hours also during summer. The earlier I start, the better.

Damn I almost peed myself laughing, that really shows the difference between branches. I didn't think boot was all that bad, once you figure out their game.

 

Schools, Flooding and Tornadoes weighed heavy on my home selection.

 

Not Kentucky. It's nice and there's bourbon but man it gets humid! in the summer

 

Same in N AL. the JD Distillery is an hour north of Huntsville.
