I’ve been buying mine at the local circle K and it’s all the same pump but separate hoses. But from now on just to be sure I’ll pump the first gallon in the truck I never thought about it being in the pump itself.

Good morning everybody! 22* this morning I thought it was supposed to be cold yesterday morning, but when I looked, it was 47. We have some screwed up weather here in a weeks time it’s liable to be close to 80 we never know how to dress.

Unfortunately not everyone has easy access to non-ethanol and it's not practical to fill an ATV or boat with the stuff from the hardware store. I've got to drive almost an hour to get to a station with it. The E10 isn't what's corrosive, it's the water that it can absorb that can cause corrosion and it will only do that if it sits for long periods of time. My one outboard is a 1985 and it's perfectly happy on E10 but it gets used regularly from April to October.

MORON report:, So I walk every morning through my neighborhood, highly recommended by my Doctors! We’ve had snow for the last few days, 8”- 12”, depending on location. Some people clear their driveway, some don’t :oldglory:So this morning one of my neighbors going to work is stuck in their driveway/ ditch. I just kept on walking, I had the dog and she was barking. This guy is a non clean driveway kinda individual  He’s got a 2 “ - 3 “ layer of ice with 3” of fresh powder on top. He drives some Chevy suv thing, some people only learn the stovetop is hot by touching it. Side note, this guy is mid forties, I’m 67 , saw him go by, probably a little late for work :annoyed:

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
This is why motorcycle and ATV manufacturers have been fighting higher alcohol content for years. You can't dilute the alcohol content enough with the smaller tank.

It's unfortunate that some areas have such a lack of availability of non-ethanol fuel. I agree, it's impractical to fill anything but small yard equipment with the hardware store fuel.

It most definitely is the alcohol that is corrosive, read up on it. The problem was well known all the way back to the dawn of ethanol gas. Car manufacturers had to change the fuel lines they used, carbs had problems (easily solved by going to fuel injection, which was necessary to achieve the fuel mileage mandates). The only good thing about alcohol was that it absorbed the water that rusted gas tanks.

I prefer pure alcohol of 3 parts gin to 3/4 parts vermouth. Shaken not stirred with 3 olives.
