    Morning all
    Call your sister
Not good here, they started evacuating nearby neighborhoods
70mph gusts, low humidity, trees taking out power, sparking fires.

Winds should stop around noon, then the planes and helicopters should be up

Santa Ana wind events and the resulting Wildfires they produce is one thing I don't miss at all when I moved 4.5 yrs ago from the High Desert of Socal

I lived in Hesperia CA and I can't recount how many times the Cajon Pass was on fire or up thru the rugged San Gorgonio wilderness area during a Santa Ana wind event . People who've not been around a Santa Ana wind fueled wildfire would be shocked to see how fast flames will travel up hill

This pic was from my house in Hesperia CA during a Santa Ana wind fueled fire in the San Gorgonio wilderness area almost 10 miles away

Hope the planes can get up and do their thing. Probably the best way to fight it. I was wondering if Bridger Aerospace was going to be sending its crews down too. I’m sure they’re at least on standby

Guessing you are a little North East of me? We in 45631...
If ya don't mind PM me where you at. Maybe we get together sometime.

Got another fresh inch last nite, it was dry so the leaf blower took care of all of it. Ready for the next batch this weekend.

Browser is starting to feel better & its hard to get this guy to stay still. He's very spunky.
Even on Gabby's he's pretty rambunctious. Then again that's probably why he hurt himself.

Good afternoon, gang. Another day of windy and cold, even the woodstove is having trouble keeping up with the chill in the house.

There might be more snow on tap, Friday night/Saturday morning is looking interesting. I got a rejection e-mail for a position that I applied for, at least someone read the resume! I got to find some work quickly, it's getting bad.

    @CVYota - :fingerscrossed:

A few days ago I listed my old rolling tool chest combo on Market Place, the amount of scam attempts and just stupid responses/demands from potential 'buyers' is staggering. I don't remember craigslist ever being this bad.. is there any other places to list things that the scammers haven't ruined yet? I know of offer-up, it seems almost as bad.

    Exactly! Glad to meet ya!
I'm actually from South Point. Out on Buffalo Creek Rd.
Moved up here about 10 years ago.

Just that short bit further South & you missed half of this snow.
If ya wanna meet up sometime will get lunch & a beverage.

    Stay safe!

Now for those asking about Browser: here's a single step & how much he was leaking with every move. Pretty obs why I was in a worried state. IMG_20250106_111243.jpg

Yup, called sis this morning. They got evacuated at 0530 this morning. Their house is about 2.5 miles from Eaton fire, and have friends that have already lost their house to fire. Sad, but they’re safe.
This from one of the cams looking toward their area.
