This Cal Fire pilot pulling off a very impressive maneuver is probably a former fighter pilot . I bet the aircrafts computer was saying "Terrain , Terrain Terrain , Pull up , Pull up , Pull up . The amount of load being placed on that aircraft as he's throttling back up is very impressive

Those pilots are just amazing, and extremely brave

Morning all

Still here, lots if homes lost, Eaton fire still 0% contained. But the winds have died down. The focus is on the Palisades fire where the winds will pick up later.

Smoke is above us and the smell is in the house. But we were one home away from the evacuation warning area so we didn't have to leave.

A couple of our friends lost thier houses but they made it out.

Funny the stories from the rest of the country and the cold weather. Humidity has climbed to 25% here.

My niece’s husband didn’t evacuate and stayed at the house. Fire got close but didn’t reach the house. I guess today’s problem are looters. Scum bags taking advantage of honest people.

That was a small fire here in The 'Nard. Brush fire in the river bottom, area typically occupied by homeless. Certainly nothing like the rest of SoCal.

Winds are expected to pick up again tomorrow, but none of the strength of the past couple days. Aircraft ought to be able to stay up and continue drops.

Last night I walked out to my truck, and see flames coming higher than the fence in the neighbor's yard. I jump up on the roof to get a better view, and some yeah-who is in his back yard lighting trash on fire, with a hose to keep it from spreading Have you not heard what is happening????

 

Since 1998 with Verizon. I get $14.81 if I could actually get it. Venmo and PayPal apps show nothing. I followed the link in the email and it tells me oh you already have a venmo account. I click on the use current phone number and it opens the app. No money.
In the process of getting out. No loyalty to long time customers. Oh you're plan has been grandfathered. If you want a new phone you need a new plan.
