Good morning everybody, have a great Saturday!

It rained all day yesterday, if it had been cold enough to snow we would have been in trouble.

    Good Morning everyone :hattip:

My area got 4.5 inches of snow and most of the day was heavy snowfall , It finally stopped at 2200hrs

I was amazed to see a snow plow clear the streets of my neighborhood and all the driveways were cleared of snow . Watching my local news right now and they're urging motorists to not to drive and stay home due to the streets re freezing

Was watching the weather Channel yesterday and they mentioned the damage to the aircraft from the Drone strike . They said it was easily repaired and certified for flying today

I've hit my head numerous times on my roll cage in my Jeeps while rock crawling and it does hurt , glad you're okay !!

Good morning. My wife went to PA on Thursday to take her mother for a heart catheterization procedure, yesterday. Wife called me last night, she is sick with what I had. Trying not to get her mom sick.

Gunny just got his first very close up look of a White tail deer !!! . A Doe was grazing on the grass near my back door . I started waving at this deer and it walked onto my back patio staring at me . At this point the deer was maybe less than 5 feet away

I called Gunny to come to the door and when he noticed the deer he stared at it for a few moments then started chattering and chirping while pawing at the window

We had maybe 1.5" on the ground last night, it dropped another 3" or so overnight. It's still snowing very lightly right now.

oh yeah. once this is done and they can go back home it will be a tear down to the frame maintenance session for them - well above and beyond their normal winter maintenance and inspection.
but they were able to shorten their flights from over an hour when they were scooping out of a reservoir inland to about 20-25 minutes once they were scooping from the ocean. knowing whats at stake should the fire make another run into a neighborhood i think the decision was the right one.

EDIT - i also wonder what the difference is maintenance wise between phos-chek and salt water. that shit can't be good for the planes either but i've seen videos of the scoopers dumping phos as well.

    Morning all

Fire pushed into Brentwood and Bel Aire areas. Planes and helicopters area dropping alot of water in the area and keeping ahead of it. Winds are supposed to kick up for the next few days, bad news.
When they say 10000 structures have been destroyed that number includes sheds, RVs, cars, etc. Homes are around 1000 lost.

I have a very dear friend back in northern California. She's a lawyer, who decided a few years ago, to create a Rescue shelter. She's done tremendous work, pulling dogs/cats from high kill shelters al over California. I've told her a couple times I'd be very tempted to become the "Dexter of the Animal world". For those not familiar with the Showtime TV show "Dexter", he was a forensics blood splatter analyst for Miami PD (completely fictional). When he heard about a serial killer, or other horrendously bad dirtbag, he would track them down, abduct them, take them to a prepared "kill room", wrap them up in saran wrap, and then stab them to death. And since he was a crime scene guy, he knew how to sanitize the kill room, and dispose of all evidence. So, he only went after bad guys, helped to clean up the gene pool.

I am pretty sure that I would be far less kind to animal abusers, in such circumstances. I fancy starting at the feet, ankles, knees, hands, elbows..... with a sledgehammer. :duel:

And now people are setting up fake 'go fund me' sites even one called red cross of California.

Sad to see these homes burn and I feel for them, but developers cut off the top of a hill and build a house in the middle of scrubland that hasn't burned for 50 years

If you build in a flood plain and it floods, well yeah, don't build there
