5 years ago I would have never laughed about this, funny how it all changes if the right cat entered your life.

I had a couple hour window of good but cool weather this morning. Then the clouds rolled back in and the wind got bad. But I did catch a couple. IMG_4051.jpg IMG_4054.jpg

Good evening everybody. It’s been a busy few days.

I found out I had a significant water leak when I opened a $400 water bill on Monday. No indication at all of a leak that had increased my usage by about 10k gallons. After spending $400 more on a leak detection service I learned the leak was in the supply line running over to my shop. After digging up the line it looks like a crack formed at a pipe junction and the water pressure eventually cut through the coupling. How I didn’t have a muddy mess in the back yard is beyond me. I’ve got it fixed and the hole is filled in now, that’s enough hard work for this week. I’m going camping this weekend.

Been out of the loop. Was in a foul mood & didn't want to share anything as silly as being in a bad mood for no reason. It happens.

Good news is life goes on & things didn't get worse. :)

Tomorrow should be a better day & we'll try it again.

    NEVER surrender.

Good morning everybody. Time to throw grab some camping gear and head up to a local state park for a camping and ham radio weekend with some of the other guys in my local radio club. Band conditions are looking good for the weekend so if you’re into the hobby keep an eye on the Parks on the Air spotting page for my callsign, KQ4UJN, and reach out for a POTA/TW qso.

    Have a great weekend!

Morning. Have a great day. Taxes tomorrow. Hoping for a net gain and not a loss. We will see if claiming single and zero dependents pulled enough out to cover it all. Wife is finally feeling well enough to go to work. Cough is still lingering. Which makes sleeping fun. Stay Well…Stay Safe

POTA's are fun and a great way to keep up your portable ops/EMCOMM skills if you’re into that. I follow all the rules and log the QSO's properly on the POTA website but I do treat them like Pokémon collecting. It’s not a “real” contact. I’ll do a good activation and then I’ll jump over to 15m and start chasing DX which is what I really like.
