Was ... One more shift in this 5 day set. Time to get ready.

 

I am 50 and I am in a wheelchair and sometimes I piss myself, but you know, life is wonderful

 

I think us Northerners simply deserve this easy winter.

 

Does make life easier. I just worry about being too dry this Summer and the associated fire danger.

Whats the price of gas up your way? 99.9 C in Whitehorse.Oh and thats a litre so 4.24 litres to a US gallon.

 

If my math is right, we're about 80 cents (US) cheaper. Paid $2.20 a gallon on the way into work tonight.

 

Ended up with a bit over a foot here. No biggie, it's the light stuff. I'll fire up the snow blower when it get light out.

 

Morning, All ! slept like a baby but the back tightness is still there. Wind died down but temps dropped to 10 degrees. Have quite a bit of shoveling to do still. Wait.... hear that ? That's the sound of NC calling for me.

Good Morning everyone. Looks like a nice day to dig out and check on my elderly neighbor.I hope ya'll have a good one, take it easy shoveling.

 

good morning TW, i hope all of you in the path of that storm are ok, be safe digging out.

 

Wow, glad I shoveled several times Friday and yesterday, or my entire driveway would be like the bottom 40 percent that closed back up due to blowing snow. Four feet deep down there. How do you eat an elephant ? Ding ding ding.... that's right, one bite at a time. Might take me 10 hours but I'll get it done if it kills me. That reminds me... if I don't sign on in 24 hours, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the USPCA.

 

Hmmm ... don't forget to check into a snowblower.

 

Oh trust me... I will be going to Lowe's the next time I see a 10% chance of snow in the 10 day forecast. I'll try to put it off as long as possible this winter, prices tend to drop as the winter goes on. But there will be one in my garage before long. Heading back out there, sun is up, wind is down, very cold but very peaceful. Just need my back to hold up. Taking Alleve and downing it with Cran-Pomegranate juice. And coffee.

 

Slow and steady with regular breaks; feel for ya'll brother. My Chief was not looking forward to digging out today. Need to check in with him a little later this morning.
