A Mexican dish. Kinda like a beef stroganoff stew stuff without the noodles. Only I used axis butt cut into cubes. It'll be a thick spicy gravy stuff when done in slow cooker later. Meat will just fall apart before eating.
Then mixed up some black Eyed Peas with pinto beans and doing the boil rinse right now. Then slow cook them all day in spices and then belly up bro!!

This reminds me of the guy I refer to as "my Chief"; he was our Maintenance Chief in my unit at RAF Mildenhall from 1995 to 1997 (when/where I met him). During that time we replaced the probably 20 year old wooden consoles in our op center with new (think first generation) modular ergonomic office furniture style consoles. These desks had all kinds of cable routing trays underneath, and fancy adjustable monitor stands and keyboard holders, etc. Right after the new consoles are installed, the Chief stops by. I turn my back for a few seconds to answer somebody's question, and when I turn back I'm all "where the hell did the Chief go?" I look down and all I see coming out from under the console is the Chief BDU clad legs and combat boots ... he tells me, "I gotta see how all this stuff works." Nice memory there. I owe the Chief a call later today. :)

Good Morning gang, Happy New Year to all. I don't really make resolutions cause I can't keep em but my goal this year is to spend less time in front of "screens" ( tv, phone etc) and spend more time with friends and family and being more active.
The weather here is supposed to be in the 50s today so it's oil change time for the truck. Y'all have a great day and stay safe. There are a lot of folks out there still in party mode so be careful, two years ago today I damn near had to wreck my truck to avoid being hit by a dude that was so messed up he passed out at the wheel and crossed the line right into my lane. I watched him crash through a chain link fence and onto "Goverment Property".

Good job Bear! This is a great time of year to visit Phoenix. I was there once for the month of July. But it's a dry heat! Yeah, but don't touch anything....

I've been in your neck of the woods a few times, mostly for business at Dover AFB.
