Good afternoon, gang. It's hot and humid out there, 88° ambient but feels like 95°. I got the vehicle speed signal to ECU issue figured out on the firewood truck, the ECU no longer thinks that it's going 255 MPH when going 5 MPH actual speed. It was one simple signal channel on the vehicle speed sensor buffer that GM didn't show on any of the FSM printouts that I had. The 2000 PPM channel that I needed was shown as 'not used' on my schematic.

The old crusty T4R gave me a hard time on Friday night while driving to meet some friends for some free outdoor music.

The trusty T4R has never left me stranded and at least this happened while the sun was still up but I had to hightail it home (30 miles) with just drawing power from the battery, so no AC. After Vatozone tested the alternator and claimed it to be good, I wasn't believing them as I only got 12V at the battery with the engine running. The ALT fuses were fine and the harness connections didn't show any voltage drop when tested, so I took my chances on a new ALT. 1 hr later this morning after picking up the new one from the parts store, the light went off immediately after strating the engine. So much for the parts stores being able to diagnose an issue.

I'm going to cool off, then take a long test drive to go get a snowball near Hanover, PA.

I have that same grill! It got blown off of the deck a few years ago during a storm that produced a funnel cloud near by. It looks like a CSX freight train slapped it into the middle of last year but it still cooks the food.

    No.
Got rained out today but I did get some fishies yesterday. A nice brown and two rainbows. Regs say you’re only supposed to keep two but I had two and was just making my way back to camp, casting occasionally, and I snagged another rainbow. I had hooked her through the eyeball and when I pulled the hook out her eye came with it. I couldn’t throw her back, don’t think a one eyed fish has much of a chance. So I had my two bows last night and now I need to head to the store to pick up a little steak to go with my brown - a little Montana surf and turf.
