    Went down to the yacht club for a sail this afternoon. The winds were quite gusty over 20 knots. After some excitement, I got out of the mooring field and started across the harbor. The boat wasn’t balanced and that made keeping a decent heading quite difficult. So I decided to motor back and sit out on the mooring for a while.

    I'm not in an overly festive "holiday" mood, this is what I could muster in terms of a end-of-summer meal. Steamed crabs were unobtanium this weekend and the prices on the tiniest ones was approaching $8/crab.

    I read the "end" of the comic strip where Calvin is dying in his bed and he has Suzie bring him Hobbs so that he could pass him on to his grandson.

    I've got (fathers side) Krakow Poles and (mothers side) Pole and English with the Poles parents being Polish Jew and a Russian Jew. It's an "untidy" little family shrub that I come from. ;)
