Good morning, happy hump day! Bluegrass hope you and #2 have a great week being back to work. And that things work out well for all.

Good morning Jim! I'd highly recommend picking up a box of those plastic fasteners, they are $9 at clips and fasteners. https://www.tacomaworld.com/out/?url=https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=A21011 But I do have a rather heavy hand at times :anonymous: Good luck on your moding!

Hope you all don't get some major flooding from all that snow melt. 16 here now but supposed to get up to 36 today and everyday until Monday when it goes back to normal. Calling for rain here on Friday?! Really is a strange winter.....

We have issues with ice dams too. Lost our share of gutters over the years. Nothing we can do about it from the inside - the ceiling of our house is the roof. There's a lot of insulation, 6" of styrofoam, but we still get melting. And the metal roof adds to the fun when the snow starts to slide. I installed gutter heaters this past fall in the hope that as long as the gutter flows, the buildup will not get too bad. We'll see! Even though we got ~24" of snow over the weekend the wind blew the roof almost clean so there isn't much up there.

Last summer after eating at a Supper Club on top of a hill in Preston, Mn. on the road below was a line of Dodge Challengers headed North. Some were classic muscle cars but most were the newer ones. It was an impressive sight and sound. They were likely headed to Lanesboro from Iowa for Buffalo Bill Day. I couldn't help but think of the 70's and "Mopar or no car." I owned a 67 mustang in the 70's. The back seat in those mustangs and camaros were tiny little things....

My first car was a 1968 Z28 Camaro. Drove that bad boy from 1972 thru 1975. Traded it on a 1967 Nova with an L79 327 out of a '66 Nova. Sold that in 1978, and then started my love affair with rat motors! 1969 Nova SS 396/375hp, then a '69 Yenko Camaro 427, then a 1970 SS Nova with a 510 cu in Chevy crate motor.

    Then I got married.

Race gas and rear tires traded for Pampers and day care. ;)

Thats weird. I was browsing the challenger forums earlier and ran across a thread about snow. (Not that I would ever drive one in those conditions)
Most had really good experience and was surprised it handle so well in those conditions.
I went ahead and place my order to have one built. Turns out a good friend at works wifes, sister is married to the GM of several dealerships in the are.
Gave me a good deal. So it looks like 8-12 weeks build time.

Yeah, we should see a lot of snow melt in the next week. Not much the next two days, temps on the teens overnight will have that snow frozen pretty good. But by the weekend, lows above freezing and highs in the 50s. Just need my roof to hang in there a couple more days.

Yep, be careful driving tomorrow cause there will be ice on the roads tonight from refreeze. My roof is pretty clean now, just a little bit of snow. Ill be up in your neck of the woods in two weeks, I hope the weather is going to cooperate and no snow!

We've thawed out here in the south and I have flowers blooming in the front yard. How crazy is that?

31 degrees this morning. Frost that was heavy enough that it looked like it had snowed during the night. Just a temporary setback.....Temps in the upper 60's by Saturday!

For the first time in over 3 months, I laid down to sleep last night and didn't wake up until the alarm clock went off! Like finding money!

Speaking of finding money, our bonus checks hit the bank this Friday! I've been holding back till then to order a suspension upgrade for my Taco! Here we go!

Hope y'all have a great day!

When I was a young'n, I could sleep the day away! It irritated my father to no end. Years later, I AM "my father".....Up @ 0400 regardless of what the day's schedule has in store. And with that, I have to hit the rack by 8:30 or 9PM at the latest. And NO ONE appreciates their sleep/rest time more than I do. I sure did miss 7/8 hours of uninterrupted sleep! When we got up this morning, my wife actually asked me why I was smiling! She just shook her head and laughed when I told her....."Because I can sleep again"!
