Which is why direct patient care staff are still required to carry pagers with us. If live are stay inside the 20 mile campus radius and support staff do not need to carry the pager as long as you can set your smart phone up for getting them. However with the vast array of underground subway tunnels we have there are still some dead zones for cell so pager is still preferred. Guess I should turn mine in it is sitting in a drawer in the bedroom. Turned off for around 2 years now.

You know your on call sucks when you fill the buffer on your pager during the week.

Well I have an idea however I hate to see these cause they make my job so much harder and any other person working on your truck will curse you like a sailor.
You could put a front hitch on your truck.
Then you could run a removable winch in the front or back.
You could use a spare receiver with a plate bracket to hide the hole.
I haven't seen your truck personally so I don't know exactly what you have.
Then the reinforcement is built into the truck by connecting each side of the frame and not putting the strain all on one corner. It's not perfect as the frame is light as shit anyway however it would help tremendously on side loads.
But working on the front of the truck would be around the hitch. Although you could remove it for more serious work.

just what I need to do what I want
@Tacoma Mike-Thanks for the feed back. I am running OME 881 springs in the front and am afraid that adding more weight from winch, mount and reinforcement would make me sag. And yes the frames are light as hell, do not want to do damage just getting unstuck. Also I do not want to piss off the mechanic-you know how they can be. Will keep looking for some solution.

The winch can be stored in the back. My buddy and I did this. Unless you need its not in the front. There are receivers with d rings and hooks you can do a quick hookup, do your business, and remove.

Some one in this thread had a recovery frame assembly up for sale take a look at how it is made or find the company he got it from and order one. As Tacoma Mike said ( he has seen what is behind the bumper and so have I) I would not try to attach anything right by the crush bar etc.

    Mike ,
IMHO the best location and strongest location for a recovery point on a truck would be a class 4 or 5 series receiver hitch . this ties into your frame at multiple points making it very strong

Then just use something similar to this

Yep a little aches /pains from this damp & cold weather . The Camaro has been in a damp garage for a few days though . Gonna head out to the garage in a few to start it up and drive it around some

The only thing is I might not go to the car show as the Santa Ana's are blowing 21mph sustained gusting to 42mph . Not sure I want my Camaro sandblasted plus at 1700 when the show ends it'll be down right Brrrrrr !!!!!!!

Right now with wind chill factored in it's a warm 39 degrees

This is what I am currently using, I just wanted to remove the extra weight and improve ground clearance. I guess I will just have to live with it. Also helpful if I ever need to tow a trailer-only once since truck was new...:notsure:

My last two jeep Rock Crawlers had receiver hitches plus the hitch design protected my fuel tank from damage from rocks /boulders

Well if retainingvthe front bumper the recovery bar Lloyd is selling would be ideal for the front. The draw back in the rear is having something rigid enough. So far the best option I've seen is the adapter for the receiver allowing a shackle to be put in it that way your pulling off the frame. Anything else would have to be gusseted in the top top prevent it from flexing up into the bumper

Lloyd has sold the recovery bar. Not to me I missed it. but that is the way to get the recovery points for the front.
