Finished the shower yesterday. Nothing on tap today except putting a rib roast in the smoker a little later.

Good morning! There's a few different smoker types out there and lots of choices within each type. I don't get near as deep into the science of it as some folks. I just like a good piece of meat that doesn't have a bunch of stuff dumped on it and cooked the way I like it...raw!

Don't get me started on grills and smokers. I spent grill money on winter boots. Or cold weather boots. We don't have a winter.
    70's next week.

Good morning Tim. What Martin said...

I went with the 18.5" Weber Smoker Mountain. I've wanted one for years and finally bit the bullet so to speak :rofl:They are also called a bullet smoker. Cheated and got an Automatic Temperature Control unit for it that has a fan that keeps temps where you want them so you don't have to baby sit it. Really like it but there are a lot of other options out there.

    https://www.amazon.com/Weber-731001...66&sr=8-3&keywords=weber+smokey+mountain&th=1

Scroll on down to the reviews and the first one should be by Harry Soo of Slap Yo Daddy BBQ team he has won tons of awards and holds seminars on how to use the Weber bullet. A lot of good information in his review, all he uses is the relatively inexpensive Weber smokers.

But like Martin said there are a LOT of options out there!

Watching part 2 on grit. John Chandler is always been great. Filmed in '75 and the Movie selected GM automobiles as the main cars. The Monte Carlo showed probably has the swivel front Drivers side Bucket Seat! Just ended! The Final chapter is starting.

    Hey mike
Just finished the Florencent replacements. The crossbars between the beams are not nailed yet as I may want move them a little. I've decided not to hard wire the side lights. The position I chose is directly over an outlet. So I'm just going to get cheap extension cords and cut to fit. If I need the light I'll just plug them in. I have 700 watts of lighting right now compared to 360 I use to have. By the time I'm done I'll have 1000 watts available.
So if I cypher right (lol) and carry the not not, I have when its all done

    Before:
360 watts used for 360 watts of light.
    After:
140 watts used for 1000 watts of light.
Each 100 watt. Bulb used 14 watts.

The lights are cool to the touch except for the 60 watt circuit load incandescent.
Very happy with what I'm going to have.
Should have done this years ago but the bulbs were so dam expensive.

Pulled the salamander apart and checked fuel
    Looked ok
    Pulled the photocell
    Looked ok.
However, the eye was not seated all the way into the mount and was a little crooked.
So I cleaned it and put it back in correctly. We will see the next time I use it.

No pics still spring. With projects the garage looks like a bomb exploded.
No insulation. So it's just a emergency heater per say. No way I want a heated garage. My vehicles would rot right in the parking spots.
