You want to know one of the biggest pains in the ass there is? Try finding a new doctor out of the blue. Oh, and you have to do it before your current prescriptions run out.

My current/former physician left the practice without any explanation. My guess is he was fired, due to the secrecy. But after almost 20 years, you get to know each other, and it was all good. Now, as of April 1, they will no longer see me at the old office, and I have to find someone to write the scripts for my ongoing meds, all 5 of them. Most docs around here aren't accepting new patients except pediatrics (I may act childish, but no one is going to mistake me for a kid anymore) or they're female. Nothing against women doctors, but not as my primary care. Two of the most respected hospitals in the nation within a stone's throw of my house and I can't find a doctor?

A good morning to y'all! 54 degrees already and headed for mid 70's! :woot: A couple more days of dry and sunny, then monsoon season before the weekend gets here.:rain: I spent 2 hours convincing my boss (who's new to this area) that we shouldn't open a number of outdoor water stations (water and ice machines) because of the high probability of freezing until mid April. Then it turns off warm.....:smack::sorry:

Ah well.... I did get the truck washed and windows spotlessly clean yesterday! Inside of the windshield was starting to turn brown from dust:tumbleweed:. That's resolved!

Got my new work cart yesterday too! Cushman....23hp Kawasaki. The bad boy will run almost 40mph with steering like a riding lawnmower. Gonna back down the governor just a tad bit a'fore someone gets killed!

OK. That's where I'm @. Hope your day goes well.

We found 3 Great Horned Owl "owlets" on the ground here at work about 2 weeks ago. No parents in sight. They were still alive, but looked kinda stressed. We call a local Raptor Rehab group and they were here in minutes (literally) Since then, I started following the progress of the baby owls, and inquired Saturday about how we can help. Looks like me and the wife are both going to be volunteering a day or 2 a week. The feeling you get when you help a distressed animal is incredible!

Click on the link, go to "news" and you will see a picture of 2 of the 3 owlets we found!

I've been following National Mill Dog Rescue on FB for awhile now and that Theresa Stradler is an impressive woman--her crews roam far and wide on that side of the country rescuing dogs from miserable living conditions and re-homing them with people who will love and spoil them. I wouldn't mind doing that full time if I could survive on just that work.
